FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sine Wave Entertainment has released its much-requested scripting functionality
The new Space scripting release encompasses a wide variety of scripting functionality, and enables individual developers to create highly complicated interactive elements, with over 500 classes, methods and properties provided so far.
Space is designed to be a virtual world platform for everyone from the hobbyist to the most advanced professional.
We also feature a wide variety of options for non-programmers to create interactivity, from MMO-Style Quest facilities to simple interactive objects using visual scripting which were previously available in Space, and now, through release of our scripting environment giving programmers vastly more power, efficiency in development and greater control than any other popular released virtual world environment.
Scripting functionalities cover a wide array of potential uses - covering graphics and rendering manipulation, updating scene content, user interface scripting, networking and multi-player game functions and more. Plans for subsequent releases will expand these functionalities further.
“Our scripting release forms part of our long term goals of providing the greatest environment for creators to work in. We've balanced power versus trust in favour of the developer - and give you great amounts of control over scripting within your experiences. This release makes it possible to build everything from full games to simpler experiences within Space” Said Adam Frisby, CEO of Sine Wave Entertainment, the developers of the Space virtual world platform.
“Space's scripting is just what it needed. I've been looking forward to it since I first got involved. It gives me the power of Unity3D in a more controllable way” commented Serp Serpton, a renowned virtual world creator.
“The Space scripting framework is fantastic and well worth the wait. Bearing in mind the creative scope offered by the scripting release, I’m really excited about what I’m going to build and looking forward to seeing what other creators and game developers do with it” Said James Stallings, a veteran creator.
Space is built and operated by Sine Wave Entertainment a UK based company with offices in Shanghai and Sydney.
The company has a long track record of innovation in it's market, including as founding developers of OpenSim.
It began retailing virtual goods in virtual worlds like IMVU and Second Life in 2006.
